Find a piece of treasure in Camperdown

It’s long been said that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure, and Camperdown is the ideal place to spend some time and seek out a piece of treasure to take home.

Camperdown has always had a number of second-hand and collectable outlets, but there is now a record number of these shops, where you can relive your past, learn a bit about history, and take home a little piece of Camperdown.

New and Pre-loved Furniture, Art Supplies and More

Mammoth Mart has been operating on Camperdown’s main street, Manifold Street for decades. In addition to having a massive shed full of pre-loved collectables, Mammoth Mart also stocks new furniture, art and craft supplies and a well-stocked plant nursery.

A newcomer to Camperdown’s main street is Element Bazaar, operated by Paul Theologous. The yard at Element Bazaar is full of collectables, including farm machinery and implements including ploughs and harrows, telephone boxes, vehicles such as tractors and more. Inside you will find a collection of bric-a-brac and antiques. Element Bazaar is open every Friday and Saturday from 10am – 4pm or by appointment.

Household fittings from television’s “Demolition Man”

Lawrie Voutier Demolitions is the perfect place to seek out second-hand fittings such as windows, doors and other household fixtures. He really does have everything (including the kitchen sink). Lawrie specialises in the recovery of items from the sites he demolishes – perfect for your next upcycled project. Lawrie is also well-known as television’s Demolition Man.

The Lake’s Hunter and Gatherer is owned and operated by Cynthia Crompton and stocks treasured antiques, vintage, second hand, new pieces and handmade crafts.

Oakbrook Collectables are open most weekends and buy and sell antiques, vintage, garagenalia, and industrial items. Oakbrook Collectables is owned and operated by Chris Brooks and Sarah Oakley.

Long-time western district antiques dealer Brian O’Halloran took on the lease of the Leura Hotel building in 2017. Pieces available in the Victorian Auctions and Valuations shop include Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, a number of Australian and international artworks and porcelain, silver and glass crockery.

Pombo Mart is an antique gift centre and café located in an iconic and historical shed along Princes Highway. Call in for a cappuccino or to browse the wide selection of antiques for sale, while on your way to or from Camperdown.
